Jessica Harlin, PLA
Jessica holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. She has been practicing for over a decade in the Santa Barbara area, taking projects from inception through construction.
Prior to founding Barefoot Design, Jessica worked with Van Atta Associates for many years learning from renowned Landscape Architect Susan Van Atta , cultivating her love of native landscapes.
Jessica believes design is an all inclusive experience. A puzzle that takes into account everything from the site, adjacent landscape and community, client needs and architectural aesthetic, and the fun is finding the best combination of elements to create final product that takes all factors into account.
Nicholas Tharp
Nick is a trained Landscape Architect and holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He has been living and working in the Santa Barbara area for the past decade, honing his craft.
Nick excels at project management and brings a strong construction knowledge to the firm, coordinating well with consulting trades to bring the highest quality project to fruition. His technical knowledge and expertise brings a high quality to every detail of the project.
In his free time Nick is an avid waterman and outdoorsman, exploring our local channel and mountains. Furthering his appreciation for the beauty of the California landscape.
